Scope for enrichment facility in deal

The Trump administration said on the 22nd that it had reached a civilian nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia. The deal may have included provisions that envision the construction of a uranium enrichment facility in the country, leaving room for concerns from a nuclear nonproliferation perspective.

Development opportunity for US companies

US companies will handle development of the nuclear infrastructure. In a statement, the Energy Department said the nuclear energy programme would provide major market access opportunities for US companies and benefit American industry and workers.
