Zelensky says strike hit oil facility in St. Petersburg
Target and video disclosed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the 4th that drones from Ukraine's armed forces had attacked an oil facility and nearby military targets in St. Petersburg in northwestern Russia. He posted a video on X, formerly Twitter, showing the facility billowing smoke and engulfed in flames.
Aimed at hitting war funding
Zelensky said the facility had been 'generating money for Russia's war effort.' Ukraine's armed forces have stepped up long-range drone attacks targeting Russian energy facilities, and fuel shortages have become a social issue inside Russia.
