Toyota Kyushu Miyata plant to halt temporarily
Toyota Motor said on the 25th that it will temporarily suspend operations at the Miyata plant of its production subsidiary Toyota Motor Kyushu (Miyawaka, Fukuoka Prefecture) from 4:00 p.m. the same day until the early hours of the 26th. It cited the impact of road closures caused by heavy rain. Operations on the 26th will be decided as early as the evening of the 25th, depending on conditions.
Heavy rain in western Japan
Western Japan, especially, saw heavy rain on the 25th due to a stalled front and a low-pressure system. The Miyata plant produces the luxury vehicle brand Lexus.
