Possible Mastermind Arrested at Haneda in Tochigi Murder Robbery
Man in His 20s Arrested at Haneda
In the murder robbery case that occurred in Kaminokawa, Tochigi Prefecture, investigators with the Shimotsuke Police Station of the prefectural police learned on the 17th, through interviews with people involved in the investigation, that a man in his 20s believed to be the ringleader had been arrested at Haneda Airport on suspicion of murder robbery. The investigation team had already arrested four 16-year-old boys on the same charge, bringing the total number of arrests to five.
Woman Dies, Two Injured on Morning of the 14th
The incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. on the 14th. Eiko Tomiyama, 69, of the town, died, and her eldest and second sons were also injured. By the 16th, the investigation team had arrested the four boys on suspicion of murder robbery against Tomiyama.
